IRANIAN CANADIAN SPORTS SOCIETY (ICSS), is a not-for-profit community organization.
ICSS is not affiliated with any political party (provincial or federal), government or religious organization or any other institution or organization.
The general purpose of ICSS is to provide not-for-profit services for the Iranian-Canadian community of Canada. ICSS may provide such services by organizing sports events, cultural events, social and/or other community events that would unite and protect the integrity and interests of the Iranian Canadian community.
Our Organization
The Iranian Canadian Sports Society (ICSS) is a not-for-profit community organization dedicated to serving the Iranian-Canadian community across Canada. We are independent and non-partisan, operating without affiliation to any political, governmental, or religious organizations. Our mission is to foster community unity, inclusivity, and empowerment through sports, cultural, and social events.
Our Purpose
ICSS organizes a wide range of activities, including sports tournaments, cultural gatherings, and community events, all aimed at promoting participation, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles. A key focus of our work is supporting women, youth, and all community members by providing equal opportunities to engage in sports and recreational activities.
Governance
ICSS is governed by a Board of Directors composed of dedicated community members who volunteer their time and expertise. The Board oversees the strategic direction and ensures the organization meets its objectives while maintaining financial transparency and accountability. An Advisory Board of professionals and community leaders supports the Board with guidance and advice, helping ICSS grow and achieve its mission.
Membership
Membership is open to Canadian citizens and permanent residents aged 18 or older who share our commitment to community development through sports. Members help guide the organization’s activities and may participate in elections for Board positions under established procedures. Annual membership fees are modest, ensuring accessibility while supporting ICSS initiatives.
Commitment to the Community
All ICSS activities are strictly non-profit, with any revenues reinvested into programs and events that benefit the community. The organization prioritizes inclusivity, respect, and integrity in every initiative, creating spaces where Iranian-Canadian community members can connect, learn, and thrive.
Sustainability and Legacy
ICSS is committed to long-term sustainability. In the event of dissolution, all remaining assets will be donated to other Canadian non-profit organizations serving the Iranian-Canadian community, ensuring our legacy continues to support the people we serve.
